Dusters - 2nd in the Nation

Jr. PeeWees (10-0) RVC Champions
Our Jr. PeeWees played an exciting game v. Metuchen on Sunday 11/13 and were crowned the RVC Champions for 2005. The Golden Knights, down 12-7 with 2:30 seconds left in the 4th quarter, scored on a halfback option pass to take the lead and the game 14-12. After giving up a quick touchdown to Metuchen, the first points scored against them all season, the Jr. PeeWees scored and took a 7-6 lead. Metuchen scored late in the 4th quarter to take a 12 - 7 lead. That was a short lead as the knights scored quickly on the ensuing possession. Our Midgets also played in the championship game, but didn't have the same outcome. They lost a hard fought game to Bound Brook, 22-6. Congratulations to the Jr. PeeWees on being crowned the RVC Champions and the Midgets on being the runner up. Great Job to the boys this season!

Hurricane Katrina Relief
In response to Hurricane Katrina, the St. Cecelia's Golden Knights sold MARDI GRAS BEADS at our game on 9/11 v. Roselle Park. With the help of many generous contributors from both St. Cecelia's and Roselle Park, we raised $1,057.55 and will forward that amount to the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund (This fund will serve as an umbrella organization for the three special funds established by Governors of Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi and will focus on collecting donations to assist in the long-term recovery plan for the states affected by this terrible tragedy). Thank you all for your generous support!!
